Good Morning! How are you today? When was the last time that you felt fresh and awake when getting up? |

We sleep much less today than ever - but do we sleep better ?Our live is getting quicker and quicker, our days longer and longer. Since the 50th we reduced our sleep by 2 hours per night! And also our habits changed: TV is now available 24/7. And even if there's nothing interessing there are DVDs and the Internet. We eat late until 11PM and other do sports that late. |
30-45% of the population suffers from sleep disordersA direct result of our changed behaviour is the steadly growing number of people having sleep disorders. This includes physiologic sleep disorders like Apnoe or snoring. But a big part of the sleep disorders are simply due to wrong behaviour - a direct result of a bad sleep hygiene which often result in fatigue during the day. |

Sleep hygiene can be learnedJust like a diet is no success without final changes of behaviour, so are short-term "intervention" - like going to bed once a time no big help. Instead, we must continue to work on our sleep hygiene regulary to really improve our quality of life. | |
